Completed work of the 7th stage of the highway «Tavrida»

The project of engineering protection of the “Tavrida” highway (carried out by the engineers of the GEOIZOL Project company) has been successfully implemented within the 7th stage of construction. This phase was the final one before the launch of a full-fledged traffic along a four-lane road from Kerch to Sevastopol. On August 28, 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin opened traffic along the most important transport artery of Crimea.

As part of the working documentation, GEOIZOL Project specialists have developed measures to prevent landslide and erosion slope processes on 10 sections of the road. To implement design solutions at the site, specialized technologies were used:

– retaining walls made of bored piles, secured with soil anchors;

– dowel fastening of slopes;

– tie-plates;

– soil protection from erosion;

– water disposal.

An important aesthetic element of the structure was the cladding of retaining walls with mounted ventilated facades.
