Proposals for additional amendments to the Water Code of Russia have been sent to the State Duma Ecology Committee.

Chief Designer “GEOIZOL Project” Ivan Bogdanov sent to the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environment Protection Dmitry Kobylkin proposals to amend Article 67 of the Water Code of Russia.

When building individual housing in flooded (underflooded) areas, it is difficult for citizens to coordinate engineering protection measures in local administrations. In addition, difficulties arise with changing the boundaries of such territories when protective measures are performed.

The appeal raises these problems and offers options for their solution.

Bill No. 6601-8 “On Amendments to the Water Code of the Russian Federation” was submitted to the State Duma at the end of October 2021.

The amendments, in particular, clarify specific measures for engineering protection of territories and facilities from the negative impact of water.

It was proposed to send responses, suggestions and comments to the draft law under consideration to the relevant committee by December 9, 2021.
